Be Truly Happy — Don’t Lose Faith

What makes you happy? It can be a long walk with your best friend,  buying the guitar you’re eyeing since last year, passing an exam, Getting promoted and a lot more. It can be from simple things to more complicated or expensive happiness.

Happiness is not always getting what you want. You may not have everything in life but  still can be happy. You can train yourself to be happy.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. For goodness sake, learn to let go

It’s been how many months since you broke up? You’ve been stalking your ex’s Facebook every day, trying to find out how he is doing without you. Is there any new love interest? You may feel it’s hard to let the day pass without thinking of him, or having a glimpse of him. But if you keep on doing that, you will only make your life miserable.

You should start letting go even if you are still hoping. If you can get a second chance, why not? But until there is a clear view of that chance, you have to let go and live your life. Stalking and holding on will not help in your moving on process. You have to let yourself breath.

  1. Welcome Changes.

Listening to sad love songs can be tempting. But you should work hard in changing your mood. Play a happy song. Sing and dance. Welcome a change. Dwelling in pain and bitterness won’t get you anywhere. Get a dose of happiness from music.

  1. Believe in something good

Do not self-pity with how everything is around you. If your friend can’t answer your call, don’t think that he or she care less. The world won’t stop for you, but it doesn’t mean that nobody’s thinking of you. Believe in something good , start believing in yourself.

  1. Give yourself a chance to have something new

Whatever you are facing now, it will pass. You may not know when or how it would end but it will pass. The storm will calm. Soon everything will be just a part of your past, an experience to remember, and a pain that will make you stronger and wiser. Your past won’t define your future.

There is a good chance that it’s happening because something better is waiting for you. You have to accept that some people are not meant to stay in your life. Focus on your present, in rebuilding yourself, in planning your future. It can be hard, but it’s doable.

Focus on new interest. Learn new things. Find a new pet. Start a new life.

  1. Be proactive.

Don’t wait. Move. Find your place under the sun. Reach out to old friends, meet new friends, move forward, accept new opportunities, before you know it, things have changed. You’re a new you.

Wounds will heal. Pain will subside. All you have to do is give yourself a chance to grow and move forward. It may take long, but you’ll get there.

Never lose faith.
