10 Minutes High Protein Recipe: Turkey BLT Avocado Salad Recipe

Turkey BLT Avocado Salad

Sometimes, it is hard to avoid eating junk and processed foods because we have no time to prepare healthy foods. This quick and easy muscle building recipe can be done in no more than 10 minutes. You don’t have to be a pro to prepare this. Just follow the instruction and you are good to go. Be sure to get the fresh ingredients.

In advance, you can easily save 5 minutes of your time by preparing the dressing in advance. Remember to keep it fresh and clean. Then the rest of the recipe, you can quickly put it together for a healthy 31 grams of protein and fiber.

Serving size: Good for 1

Total Time Needed: 10 minutes (8 mins preparation, 2 mins cooking time)

What you need:

2 slices uncured turkey bacon (as much as possible, opt for brands with 35 calories per slice)
3 slices (3 ounces) reduced sodium turkey breast, rolled up and sliced
1/4 avocado, diced

1/2 cup grape tomatoes, cut in half
2 cups salad greens
1-2 tablespoons Greek yogurt balsamic vinaigrette

For Greek Yogurt Balsamic Vinaigrette

1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon plain nonfat Greek yogurt
3/4 teaspoon honey or sorghum syrup
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1) Start by cooking the turkey bacon in microwave between paper towels. You can check the package direction for instruction.

2) Next, grab the turkey slices the roll it up into tube space. Cut it evenly into several pieces. It should be on spiral when turned on its side.

3) Next get your bowl and fill it with salad greens. Toss in the turkey, tomatoes, crumbled turkey bacon and diced avocado.

4) Lastly, drizzle it with 1-2 tablespoons of dressing or according to your preferences. You can save the left over recipe for another salad recipe.  Like I’ve said earlier, you can save more time if you prepare the dressing in advance.

There is no excuse in preparing and eating healthy and delicious foods even if you have limited time. You just have to know quick and easy to prepare recipes!
